Inkscreen helps government and enterprise customers securely capture and manage content. CAPTOR has been called a “camera app on steroids wearing a bulletproof vest”, combining photo, video, and audio capture with full document scanning, encrypted containerized storage, and IT controls to manage how content is created, stored, and shared.

Adding Notes to CAPTOR Content in Bulk

Josh Bohls

All CAPTOR content has a notes section where you can add text description to the content. This will transfer as metadata for all content types, and for visual media (photos and videos) it will also be included in the caption. The notes are also searchable. The content Notes can be found by opening the content, and tapping on the “i” info button.

Beginning with CAPTOR (iOS) v5.2.2, you can now add notes to multiple content in one step. There are two ways to do this, outlined below. Also with this release we increased the character limit to 255 so you can add longer notes than ever before. If some of the content has an existing note, the newly added note will be appended to the existing note.

Option 1: Add the same note to all content within a specific folder or Favorites.

Go to the Folder screen and swipe right on the folder to reveal a hidden Note button. Tap it, and type a note into the box. That note has now been added to every content item within the folder. This works on Favorites as well. Here is a quick video demo.

Option 2: Add the same note to content you select within a folder.

Go to a folder, tap Select at the bottom. Tap to highlight the content you want to add notes to, and then tap Note at the bottom. The note you enter into the pop-up box will be added to all of the selected content. Here is a short video demo of this option:
